Live on Tuesdays 12 to 1pm - May 3rd to June 7th

(includes access to class recordings for 3 months)

Yoga and Pilates don’t have to be two independent practices. This course builds mobility, stability and strength through Pilates to help propel your Yoga practice into a new dimension.

We will be uncovering Pilates fundamentals which will prep the body & help fine-tune your backbends, twists, balancing postures and other aspects of your Yoga practice. The core - your center - is composed of the lower abdomen, lower back muscles, glutes, and pelvic floor. If the centre is weak and unstable, we are prone to injuries, especially when we move through repetitive movements such as sun salutations.

Each week we will flow through a progressive set of Pilates exercises that create mobility in our joints, stability in our pelvis and spine, and explore various relationships to gravity, thus deepening our understanding of our bodies in space. This all-level course will help restructure the entire body bringing awareness to areas you didn’t know you needed enhancing your practice, and helping to prevent injuries.

May 3 - Deep core and Abdominals for Extension

May 10 - Hips, Glutes and Thighs for Balance

May 17 - Side bending for mobility

May 24 - Obliques and Rotation for twisting

May 31 - Neutral Pelvis in Back Strength

June 7- Upper Body conditioning- resistance through arms
