Our vision at Marigold Yoga is to make practicing yoga accessible for your modern life, allowing you to practice anywhere, anytime. Marigold Yoga is a space where you can practice in the way that serves you best. Whether you have 60 mins or 10, whether you want to sweat or relax, there is a class for you.

Simone and Meredith are two Toronto-based Yoga Teachers who came together to create Marigold, a hub where they share their passion for yoga and teaching.
 

Their classes bring together their expertise in human movement and anatomy with yoga philosophy, breathing and meditation. They are known for making ancient yoga philosophy teachings applicable to modern lives and leaving their students with small, easily digestible pieces of anatomical knowledge. You will leave their classes with a new understanding of your body and mind, feeling physically worked and refreshed.

Meredith Bannan

Described as a creative and innovative teacher, Meredith’s teaching style is a reflection of a personal practice that spans over 20 years.  Since 2004 she has been teaching asana, pranayama and meditation. She leads international retreats and has taught in teacher trainings in both in Canada and the U.S.. Meredith is also a Yoga business consultant and has managed several different yoga studios, including most recently a Director Roots Yoga Studio.  

 

Meredith encourages her yoga students to embody the present moment and navigate mindfully in their bodies by bringing  their attention to alignment and breath.  The diversity and depth of her experience allows her to provide students with a personalized approach and make yoga accessible for all.  Influenced most by her study of Hatha (Anusara) and Yin Yoga, her classes are dynamic, deeply therapeutic and offer insight to promote peace within and without.

Simone Nitzan

The experience of linking the breath and movement together in a conscious and fluid manner inspires Simone in her practice and teaching. Her personal practice informs her teaching and she draws on elements of the vinyasa method of practice in her led classes. She believes practicing yoga leads to a meditative state and expands our awareness of ourselves. In her classes, she strives to bring together an awareness of the breath with alignment of the body and mind. When we’re in a state of yoga the qualities of effort and ease are harmoniously balanced.

 

Simone brings an expertise in anatomy and physiology into the yoga room. Where she works to inform her students how to safely and sustainably work with their bodies through Yoga Asana, the breath and other energetic elements of the practice. She believes physical and emotional injury can be healed through yoga and she works with her students to find the unique practice that works for each of their body-minds.
